The Prime Minister called for suggestions to solve the problems of the film industry
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government will fully support every effort to highlight the country's true identity and culture.
While presiding over a meeting on the restoration of the Pakistani film industry and cinema, the Prime Minister said that "our top priority is to highlight Pakistanis and to preserve and promote the culture and values of our society".
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister's Assistant Special Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan, Assistant Special For Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari, Secretary Information Akbar Hussain Durrani, Faraz Chaudhry, Pir Saad Ahsanuddin and Zoriz Lashari.
The participants of the meeting presented various suggestions to the Prime Minister on the restoration of the film industry and cinema in the country.
Talking to Dawn, Zoriz Lashari said that a second meeting in this regard will be held today (Saturday) in Lahore with Secretary Culture, Film Producers, Directors and Cinema owners to propose solutions to the problems facing the film industry. Will

The assurance given by Prime Minister Imran Khan was given at a high level meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office in which the four ministers were accompanied by video link.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, the meeting reviewed the steps taken to eliminate locust.
The meeting was attended by Minister of National Food Security Khusro Bakhtiar, Advisor to Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Assistant Special Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan and other senior officials, while the chief ministers of all the four provinces also participated via video link.

ڈان اخبار کی رپورٹ کے مطابق پاکستانی فلم انڈسٹری اور سنیما کی بحالی سے متعلق اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ ’ ہماری اولین ترجیح پاکستانیت کو اجاگر کرنا اور ہمارے معاشرے کی ثقافت اور اقدار کا تحفظ کرنا اور انہیں فروغ دینا ہے‘۔
اجلاس میں وزیراعظم کی معاون خصوصی برائے اطلاعات و نشریات فردوس عاشق اعوان، معاون خصوصی برائے اوورسیز پاکستانیز سید ذوالفقار بخاری، سیکریٹری اطلاعات اکبر حسین درانی، فراز چوہدری، پیر سعد احسن الدین اور زوریز لاشاری نے شرکت کی۔
اجلاس کے شرکا نے وزیراعظم کو ملک میں فلم انڈسٹری اور سنیما کی بحالی سے متعلق مختلف تجاویز پیش کیں۔
ڈان سے بات کرتے ہوئے زوریز لاشاری نے کہا کہ اس حوالے سے دوسرا اجلاس آج (بروز ہفتہ) لاہور میں سیکریٹری ثقافت، فلم پروڈیوسرز، ڈائریکٹرز اور سنیما مالکان کے ساتھ ہوگا جس میں فلم انڈسٹری کو درپیش مسائل کے حل کے لیے تجاویز پیش کی جائیں گی۔
علاوہ ازیں گزشتہ روز وفاق نے چاروں صوبوں کو ٹڈی دل کے حملوں سے نمٹنے کی یقین دہانی کروائی جو خاص طور سندھ اور پنجاب میں پکی ہوئی فصلوں کو نقصان پہنچا کر زراعت کے شعبے کو بری طرح متاثر کررہے ہیں۔
وزیراعظم عمران خان کی جانب سے مذکورہ یقین دہانی وزیراعظم آفس میں جاری اعلیٰ سطح کے اجلاس میں دی گئی جس میں چاروں وزرائے اعلیٰ بذریعہ ویڈیو لنک شریک تھے۔
وزیراعظم آفس کے مطابق اجلاس میں ٹڈی دل کے خاتمے سے متعلق لیے جانے والے اقدامات کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔
اجلاس میں وزیر برائے قومی خوراک تحفظ خسرو بختیار، مشیر برائے خزانہ ڈاکٹر عبدالحفیظ شیخ، معاون خصوصی برائے اطلاعات ڈاکٹر فردوس عاشق اعوان اور دیگر سینئر افسران شریک تھے جبکہ چاروں صوبوں کے وزرائے اعلیٰ بھی ویڈیو لنک کے ذریعے شریک تھے۔
