Quetta Gladiators big blow, out of action PSL race
A few hours before the launch of the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League 2020 (PSL), Quetta gladiators have been hit hard.
According to the details, the Pakistan Cricket Board has suspended Quetta Gladiators middle-order offensive batsman Omar Akmal under Section 4.7.1 of the Anti-Corruption Code.

Quetta Gladiators have also been allowed to replace Umar Akmal as the second player.
The PCB Anti-Corruption Unit is under investigation against Omar Akmal. Until the verdict is reached, Omar Akmal has been banned from participating in any cricket activity.

It should be noted that the PCB will not issue any further statement on the matter till the completion of the investigation.

پاکستان سپر لیگ 2020 (پی ایس ایل) کے پانچویں ایڈیشن کے آغاز سے چند گھنٹوں قبل ہی کوئٹہ گلیڈی ایٹرز کو بڑا دھچکا لگا ہے۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ نے کوئٹہ گلیڈی ایٹرز کے مڈل آرڈر جارح مزاج بلے بازعمر اکمل کو اینٹی کرپشن کوڈ کی دفعہ 4.7.1 کے تحت معطل کر دیا ہے۔

 کوئٹہ گلیڈی ایٹرز کو عمر اکمل کے متبادل کے طور پر دوسرا کھلاڑی لینے کی اجازت بھی دی گئی ہے۔

پی سی بی انٹی کرپشن یونٹ کی جانب سے عمر اکمل کے خلاف تحقیقات جاری ہیں، فیصلہ آنے تک عمر اکمل پر کرکٹ کی کسی بھی سرگرمی میں حصہ لینے پر پابندی عائد کر دی گئی۔

واضح رہے کہ تحقیقات کی تکمیل تک پی سی بی بھی اس معاملے پر مزید کوئی بیان جاری نہیں کرے گا۔
