LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jan, 2020 ) :A local court on Friday rejected an application to stay the airing of final episode of television drama serial 'Meray Paas Tum Ho'.
Civil Judge Naila Ayub heard the application filed by the petitioner, Maham, in a pending suit against the drama.
During the proceedings, the petitioner's counsel requested the court to stay the airing of final episode of the drama as the women were being ridiculed as a part of society in it.
He submitted that the drama was against the injunctions of islam. He further submitted that the last episode of the drama serial would be shown in cinemas across the country on Jan 25.
However, a counsel on behalf of production team opposed the request.
He argued that as per law, the court did not have the jurisdiction for hearing the matter. He submitted that if the petitioner had any grievance then he should approach the relevant forum.
He submitted all the episodes of the drama had been broadcast and now the last episode was going to be aired in cinemas on January 25. He submitted that provincial censor board had also issued clearance certificate to the drama, therefore, no case was made out. He submitted that there was no element which show that the drama was inappropriate for the society.
Subsequently, the court dismissed application to stop the airing of final episode of the drama. The court also adjourned the suit for February 17 and sought written reply from the respondents.

سول جج نائلہ ایوب نے درخواست گزار ماہم کی جانب سے ڈرامہ کے خلاف زیر التواء مقدمے میں دائر درخواست کی سماعت کی۔
کارروائی کے دوران ، درخواست گزار کے وکیل نے عدالت سے ڈرامہ کے حتمی واقعے کی نشریات روکنے کی درخواست کی کیونکہ ان میں معاشرے کے ایک حصے کی حیثیت سے خواتین کا مذاق اڑایا جارہا ہے۔
انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ یہ ڈرامہ اسلام کے حکم کے خلاف ہے۔ انہوں نے مزید عرض کیا کہ ڈرامہ سیریل کی آخری قسط 25 جنوری کو ملک بھر کے سینما گھروں میں دکھائی جائے گی۔
تاہم ، پروڈکشن ٹیم کی جانب سے ایک وکیل نے اس درخواست کی مخالفت کی۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ قانون کے مطابق عدالت کو معاملے کی سماعت کا دائرہ اختیار حاصل نہیں ہے۔ انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ اگر درخواست گزار کو کوئی شکایت ہے تو وہ متعلقہ فورم سے رجوع کرے۔
انہوں نے پیش کیا کہ ڈرامہ کی تمام اقساط نشر ہوچکی ہیں اور اب آخری ایپیسوڈ 25 جنوری کو سینما گھروں میں پیش کیا جارہا تھا۔ انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ صوبائی سنسر بورڈ نے بھی ڈرامہ کو کلیئرنس سرٹیفکیٹ جاری کیا تھا ، لہذا ، کوئی معاملہ سامنے نہیں آیا۔ انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ کوئی عنصر موجود نہیں ہے جس سے یہ ظاہر ہوتا ہے کہ ڈرامہ معاشرے کے لئے نامناسب تھا۔
اس کے بعد ، عدالت نے ڈرامہ کے حتمی واقعہ کو نشر کرنے سے روکنے کے لئے درخواست خارج کردی۔ عدالت نے اس مقدمے کی سماعت 17 فروری کے لئے بھی ملتوی کردی اور جواب دہندگان سے تحریری جواب طلب کرلیا۔
